How AfyaRad Community Works

A space for learners and radiologists to read real cases and learn from each other. No scores, no leaderboards, no pressure to be "right."

1. Read a case, write your own read first

Every case shows you a real, anonymised clinical history and images. Write your findings and impression before anything is revealed. It takes about 5 minutes, and it's the most valuable part of the exercise.

A real case as you'll see it. No annotation tools needed. A plain description of what you observe is exactly right.

2. The original report is revealed

Once you submit, you'll see the original report. We don't score you on whether you matched it. Even experienced radiologists sometimes read things differently, and that's a normal, healthy part of practising medicine.

More about the community

Discussion. Choose how you want it

You can discuss a case with other members, including credentialed radiologists. You control when you see this discussion:

  • Anytime: see and join discussion while you're still thinking it through. Good if you want help in the moment.
  • After I answer (default): discussion stays hidden until you've submitted your own read, protecting your own independent thinking.

You can change this anytime in Settings, or right on the case page.

Reply to a reply

Discussion threads go one level deep. If someone replies to your comment, you'll be notified, and so will the person who originally shared their interpretation. You can turn this off, or limit it to verified radiologists only, in Settings.

Too many notifications on one thread? Mute it

If a particular case or comment thread is generating more notifications than you want, you can mute just that one, right where you see it, without changing your settings for everything else.

Verified Radiologist badge

Members with this badge have been independently credentialed through AfyaRad's separate marketplace verification process. It is never something you can earn through community activity. It simply tells you who has been professionally verified.

Be kind, be honest

Disagreement is welcome and expected. That's how learning happens. Harassment isn't. You can flag any reply that crosses a line, and we review patterns across the whole platform, not just one-off reports.

Read our full Community Guidelines for the rules of conduct.

Got it, let's try that case
